Wayne County Department of Health, Human & Veteran Services is actively supporting Dearborn Heights lead remediation effort with the distribution of water filters provided by the state of Michigan. Please see the Dearborn Heights advisory:

Water Filter Distribution

We encourage low income families with children, pregnant women on Medicaid and families enrolled in our WIC program to visit our distribution site to pick up a water filter (one filter per household, while supplies last).

Water Filters Available for Dearborn Heights Residents

Wayne County Department of Health, Human & Veteran Services will be providing two filters types. Product details and installation instructions can be found below:
  • Faucet Filtration System - PUR Model FM-333B Box includes (1) faucet mount and (1) filter
    • Two Boxes of Replacement Faucet Filters - PUR Model RF-3375 Box includes (1) replacement faucet filter
    • Each filter is good for up to 100 gallons or 3 months
  • Pitcher Filtration System - PUR Model PPT111W Box includes (1) pitcher filtration system and (1) filter
    • One Replacement Pitcher Filter Box - Model PPF951K Box includes (3) replacement pitcher filters
    • Each filter is good for up to 40 gallons or 2 months

Any of the following cartridge refills listed above can be purchased at any retail outlet.
