I believe one of my most important commitments as Wayne County Executive is to create a healthy and supportive climate for our small business owners. It is these businesses that are the economic backbone of our community, and Hot Sam's Detroit, which has been a stalwart of Detroit fashion since 1921, is a perfect example of a local business that stayed and weathered the storm and helped keep the lights on for everyone else.

The resurgence we are seeing today in Detroit is being built on the shoulders of local entrepreneurs like Hot Sam's owners Tony Stovall and Cliff G. Green, who remain committed to Detroit and Wayne County

Both men have done an outstanding job serving the community with their expertise and expert service and I was happy to present them with this Wayne County Executive Proclamation today in honor of all they have done and continue to do for Wayne County.
