Wayne County Partners With Univ. Detroit Mercy To Host Veterans Day Dental Services At Wayne Health

WAYNE, MI - Veterans Day is about honoring those who have served our nation in the Armed Forces but also ensuring they can access the medical and dental resources available to them. Today, dental care is one of the most pressing needs among many veterans with many going years without cleanings.The Wayne County Department of Health, Veterans and Community Wellness is hosting a one-time Veterans Day dental clinic to raise awareness about services available through the County's Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The goal is to help introduce veterans to FQHC services they may qualify for and help establish long-term dental care. The County is hosting the event in partnership with the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and Golden Dental Plans.
