Detroit Man Charged In Homicide Of Brothers
Aubrey Jiles Stanley, Jr., 42 (DOB: 04/22/1974), has been charged with two counts of First Degree Murder, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Felony Firearm.*
On April 9, 2017 at 7:57 p.m., in the front yard of a location in the 20000 block of Schaefer in Detroit, it is alleged that Stanley fatally shot brothers Louis T. Phillips, 28 and Alex D. Stewart, 24. All of the men are Detroit residents. The facts of the case will come out in court at the preliminary examination.
The defendant was arraigned on Saturday in 34th District Court in Romulus. The probable cause conference is scheduled for April 25, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.; the preliminary examination is scheduled for May 2, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. Both hearings are before 36th District Court Judge Lydia Nance Adams.
*The charges are allegations and defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
