On Monday, October 19, 2015, Defendant Michael Montgomery, 30 (DOB: 5/28/85), of Detroit, was charged by Prosecutor Kym L. Worthy with First Degree Premeditated Murder, First Degree Felony Murder, and Criminal Sexual Conduct - First Degree in connection with a January 1, 2006 of a 16-year-old Detroit woman. It is alleged that Montgomery sexually assaulted and fatally stabbed the woman in the rear of a location in the 19848 block of Joy Road in Detroit.

On Tuesday, October 20, 2015, Montgomery was charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct - First Degree, Kidnapping, Torture and Felony Firearm. It is alleged that on December 23, 2005, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Montgomery kidnapped, tortured and sexually assaulted a 33-year-old Detroit woman in an alley in the 8600 block of Auburn in Detroit.

These warrants were signed when the defendant was not in custody. The Detroit Police Department placed the defendant under arrest in the evening hours of October 20, 2015.

Michael Montgomery was arraigned today on charges of First Degree Premeditated Murder, First Degree Felony Murder and Criminal Sexual Conduct - First Degree. He has a Probable Cause Conference on October 28, 2015 at 8:30 a.m.; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for November 4, 2015 at 1:30 p.m., both hearings before Judge Lydia Nance Adams. There is no information yet on the CSC case.

At this time we have not received the warrant request for Montgomery in connection with the assault on two Detroit EMT workers. An update will be sent out when the warrant request is received.
