Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Lathyas Sutton, 17 (DOB: 6/13/1999), Bennie Robinson, 18 (DOB: 12/7/1999), Marquise Goodman, 17 (DOB: 11/23/1999), and Jayelin Hawkins, 16 (DOB: 1/23/2000), all of Detroit, in connection with the robbery of a 48-year-old female DPD 911 dispatcher. On January 3, 2017 at approximately 10:57 p.m., it is alleged that the four defendants assaulted and robbed the victim of her personal property as she approached her workplace on Lyndon Street. The facts of the case will be presented at the preliminary examination.

All four defendants have been charged with one count each of Armed Robbery.* Sutton, Robinson and Goodman were arraigned on January 10, 2017. They have a probable cause conference date of January 17, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. and their preliminary examinations are on January 24, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Denise Lewis Langston. They each received $75,000 cash/surety bonds.

Defendant Hawkins, who is 16 years of age, will be charged and tried as an adult. He was arraigned in 36th District Court on January 11, 2017. His probable cause conference and preliminary examination hearings are the same as his co-defendants.

*The charges are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
