Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Stacy Wayne Rose, Jr., 18, (DOB: 06/11/1999), of Taylor, in connection with the fatal stabbing of Robert Briscoe, Sr.

On July 30, 2017, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Huron Township police were dispatched to the area of Charlemagne and Lafferty Court in Huron Township and observe a male victim lying on the ground. It is alleged that an altercation occurred between the victim's sons and a group of teenagers. During the altercation, the victim attempted to break up the fight and was fatally stabbed. Investigation by the police officers led to the arrest of the defendant.

Rose has been charged with one count of First Degree Murder*. He was arraigned this afternoon before 34th District Court Judge David Parrott. The probable cause conference is scheduled for August 23, 2017 at 9:05 a.m. before Judge Parrott; the preliminary examination is scheduled for August 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. before Judge Brian Oakley in 34th District Court in Romulus.

*The charges are allegations and defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
