Juwan Plummer - Defendant charged in connection with the April16, 2017 non-fatal shootings of two Detroit Police Officers on Lesure in Detroit. Today Plummer pleaded guilty before Judge Michael Hathaway to two counts of Intentional Discharge of a Firearm in a Building Causing Serious Injury (Police Officer #1), two counts Intentional Discharge of a Firearm in a Building Causing Serious Injury (Police Officer #2) and two counts of Felony Firearm. Two counts of Felonious Assault were dismissed as part of the plea. Plummer will be sentenced on August 30, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Hathaway.

Bobby Lee Collins - Wayne County truck driver charged in the fatal crash that killed a Wayne County road worker and seriously injured another road worker. The Probable Cause Conference was held today. The preliminary examination is scheduled for August 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the 23rd District Court.

Kellie Stock - Defendant convicted of Second Degree Murder and other charges in connection with the fatal car crash that killed a 72-year-old man at State Fair and Seven Mile in Detroit. Today she was sentenced by Judge Mark Slavens to Operating While Under the Influence of Intoxicants Causing Death (along with other counts) to 19 years to 50 years in prison. Note: Kelly Stock was convicted and sentenced to Operating While Under the Influence of Intoxicants Causing Death.

David Radecki - Former Border Control Agent and Boy Scout Leader who pled guilty to Accosting Children for Immoral Purposes and Criminal Sexual conduct Fourth Degree. Radecki will be sentenced on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Lawrence Talon.

Timothy Hawkins - Defendant charged in connection with the January 7, 2017 homicide of Avril Taylor on West Goldengate Street in Detroit. On July 21, 2017 he pleaded guilty to Second Degree Murder. Today Hawkins was sentenced to 30 years to 60 years in prison before Judge Michael Hathaway.

David Radecki - Former Border Control Agent and Boy Scout Leader who pled guilty to Accosting Children for Immoral Purposes and Criminal Sexual Conduct Fourth Degree. Radecki was sentenced today before Judge Lawrence Talon to the following terms and conditions: 5 years probation, 1st year WCJ; no contact with either the victim or his mother, no unsupervised contact with minors under 16, no participation in activities which involve/include minors and the defendant must register as a sex offender.

Andre Carter - Defendant charged in the December 1, 2016 ambush where he fired shots at DPD police officers from a porch on Hull Street in Detroit. Today a jury came back with a guilty verdict on all charges. See page 7 of the attached Weekly Updates for the charges. He will be sentenced on August 29, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Ulysses Boykin,

Fatal Shooting on Waltham Street - WCPO has just received the warrant request. An update will be sent out when there is a charging decision.

Former Harper Woods Police Officer Charged with Larceny in a Building and Other Crimes

Today Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged former Harper Woods police officer Michael Lynch, 38. From February 4, 2017 through February 10, 2017, it is alleged that former Harper Woods police officer Michael Lynch stole various items from the Harper Woods Police Department property room. The specific facts and evidence in the case will be presented in court at the preliminary examination. Lynch is being charged with the following crimes: one count of Misconduct in Office, six counts of Larceny in a Building and one count of Possession of Heroin*.

Lynch was arraigned today in 32-A District Court and received a $50,000 personal bond with the following conditions: no alcohol or drugs, random drug testing twice a week and no possession firearms or other dangerous weapons. The Probable Cause Conference is September 27, 2017; the Preliminary Examination is October 10, 2017, both at 1:30 p.m. in 32-A District Court.

Three Charged and Arraigned in Fatal Shooting of 14-Year-Old Girl on Waltham Street

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged three defendants in the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old girl and the non-fatal shooting of a two male occupants of the house. On August 3, 2017 at 10:40 p.m., it is alleged that Robert H. Moore, 19 (DOB: 02/24/1998), of Detroit, drove in a car to a location in the 19900 block of Waltham in Detroit and fired multiple shots into the front room of a house, fatally striking a 14-year-old girl and injuring two male occupants of the house. It is further alleged that Dwayne A. Sharpe, 24 (DOB: 08/04/1993) and Anthony D. Rodgers, 19 (05/21/1998), both of Detroit, were in the car with Moore and aided and abetted him during the shooting. The victims were all privately conveyed to a local hospital. The female victim was pronounced dead on arrival. The male victims were also taken to the hospital for treatment.

Moore has been charged with: First-Degree Premeditated Murder, Assault with Intent to Murder, Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle Causing Death, Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle Causing Serious Impairment, Discharging a Firearm at a Building Causing Death, and Discharging a Firearm at a Building Causing Serious Impairment; and six counts of Felony Firearm*. Sharpe and Rodgers have each been charged with: First-Degree Premeditated Murder, Assault with Intent to Murder, Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle Causing Death, Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle Causing Serious Impairment, Discharging a Firearm at a Building Causing Death, and Discharging a Firearm at a Building Causing Serious Impairment*.

Moore and Sharpe were arraigned on Thursday, August 10, 2017 and were remanded to jail. Rodgers was recently apprehended by the Detroit Police Department and was arraigned this morning before 36th District Court Magistrate Dawn M. White. All defendants will have their probable cause conference on August 23, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.; the preliminary examination is scheduled for August 30, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. All hearings are before District Court Judge William McConico in 36th District Court.
