Timothy Eubanks - Dearborn defendant who was charged in connection with the non-fatal shootings of two children. Eubanks was scheduled to be sentenced today on Child Abuse Second Degree charges. The hearing was adjourned until January 31, 2019 by Judge Cynthia Gray Hathaway at the request of the defense.

Samantha Eubanks - Co-defendant and wife of Defendant Timothy Eubanks had felony firearm charges dismissed in her case in April 2018. WCPO was granted a stay of proceedings and filed a Motion to Reinstate the Felony Firearm charge. In December 2018, the Court of Appeals reinstated the felony firearm charges. WCPO is waiting for a next action date on the case from the court. See order attached.

Mateen Cleaves - Defendant charged in the alleged sexual assault of a 24-year-old Mount Morris woman.* Today court set a conference date of February 22, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. in the case.

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy to Hold
Second Town Hall Meeting in Detroit January 23, 2019

Prosecutor Kym Worthy will hold a series of Town Hall meetings throughout Wayne County. The second town hall will be held on January 23, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Detroit Edison Public School Academy, 1903 Wilkins Street in Detroit. Members of the public, police and community leaders in the following Detroit Police Department Precincts are invited to attend: Precinct 5 (Conner and St. Jean), Precinct 7 (Mack and St. Aubin), Precinct 9 (11187 Gratiot) and Precinct 11 (5100 East Nevada).

There will be a brief presentation by Prosecutor Worthy on the following topics: How the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office Operates, School Threats, Domestic Violence, Conviction Integrity Unit, Sexual Assault Kits, Drug and Mental Health Court and the Community Prosecution Unit.

"I have always wanted to do these Town Halls. There are so many serious issues right now that my office deals with on a daily basis. Most people's idea of what an urban prosecutor's office is, and what we deal with on a daily basis, is not depicted realistically anywhere. The meetings will be an upfront and personal. We will cover all of Wayne County communities, and will be coming to a venue near you," said Prosecutor Worthy.

After the presentation, the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions. Light refreshments will be served, and the last half hour will be reserved for attendees to meet with Prosecutor Worthy.

Future Town Hall meetings will be held various locations in the City of Detroit and other Wayne County Communities. Dates, times and locations for subsequent Town Hall meetings will be announced.

Two Downriver Men Charged in Brownstown Fatal Beating

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Rickey Dale Richett, 45, (DOB: 07/27/1973), of Monroe, MI and Damian Antony Willingham, 26 (DOB: 01/21/1992), of Newport, MI in connection with the fatal beating of 50-year-old Michael Beaudrie of Battle Creek, MI that occurred in a Brownstown bar.

On May 6, 2018 at approximately 2:11 a.m., Brownstown police officers were dispatched to the parking lot of a sports bar located in the 22000 block of Sibley Road. Upon arrival, the officers found Michael Beaudrie lying on the ground unconscious. Medics transported the victim to the hospital where he succumbed to blunt force trauma injuries.

It is alleged that Beaudrie's brother was intoxicated and accidently bumped into Willingham. After exiting the bar, Willingham and Richett engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical altercation with Beaudrie's brother. When Michael Beaudrie attempted to intercede, it is alleged that Richett struck him multiple times in the face and about the body while aided by Willingham. It is further alleged that Richett and Willingham then physically assaulted Beaudrie's brother before driving away from the scene. Investigation by the Brownstown Police Department led to the arrests of the defendants.

Richett and Willingham have each been charged with Open Murder and Assault with Intent to Murder.* They were recently arrested and arraigned today. Probable Cause Conferences have been scheduled for January 29, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. the Preliminary Examinations have been scheduled for February 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge Michael McNally in 33rd District Court. Both defendants were remanded to jail.

Virgil Smith - Former state senator who entered into a 2016 plea agreement after a shooting incident involving his ex-wife. The Final Conference has been adjourned by Judge Lawrence Talon from January 18, 2019 until February 1, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.

Five People Charged in Harper Woods Carjacking

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym worthy has charged Dominique Mickeal-Yvette Cooper, 19 (DOB: 08/30/1999) of Clinton Township, Sirenitee Zacara Brown, 19 (DOB: 11/29/1999) of Chesterfield, Maurice Houston Vernon, 20 (DOB: 08/30/1998) of Harper Woods, Omari Dujuan Lloyd, 23 (DOB: 10/13/1995), also of Harper Woods, and Angel Marie Schultz, 18 (DOB: 01/28/2000) of Mt. Clemens, MI in connection with the carjacking of an 18-year-old woman and a 16-year-old woman in Harper Woods. It is further alleged that all the defendants conspired to commit the carjacking.

It is alleged that on January 13, 2019, Defendant Cooper asked her 18-year-old female co-worker for a ride to a store and the co-worker agreed. After picking up a 16-year-old friend, the victim the drove to a store located in Clinton Township and Cooper further asked the 18-year-old victim to drive her to drop off some items to a friend in Harper Woods. She was told that Cooper's friend would give her gas money. The 18-year-old victim agreed to this and she and her friend drove Cooper to Harper Woods. Cooper exited the vehicle and, while waiting for her return, it is alleged that Defendants Houston and Lloyd approached the vehicle, produced a weapon and carjacked the vehicle from the victim and her friend. Investigation by the Harper Woods police located the vehicle the next day at a nearby apartment complex.Charges*

Defendants Cooper, Brown, Vernon and Lloyd: Carjacking and two counts of Armed Robbery;

All Defendants: Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property - Motor Vehicle;

Defendant Vernon: Four count of Felony Firearm - Pneumatic Gun. *

The defendants are expected to be arraigned this afternoon in 32A District Court in Harper Woods. An updated release will be sent out after the arraignment.
