Khari Mosley - Husband of Pittsburgh official Chelsa Wagner charged with two misdemeanors. The jury has reached a verdict in the case, and has found Mr. Mosley not guilty of Disorderly Conduct and not guilty of Disturbing the Peace. Assistant Prosecutor Maria Miller said, "This case was charged because we believed that we had a case that we could prove beyond a reasonable doubt. While we do not agree with the jury's verdict, we do respect it."

Chelsa Wagner - The Pittsburgh official is scheduled for a jury trial on the charges of felony Resisting and Obstructing the Police, and misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct on November 12, 2019, before Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Regina Thomas.

Juvenile Charged in Fatal Stabbing Death at
Taylor Knights of Columbus Hall

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged and adult designated juvenile Giannfranco Delgado, 16, (DOB: 04/14/2003) of Southgate, in connection with the fatal stabbing of Cameron Petty, 17, of Detroit. An adult designation means that, upon conviction, the judge has the option of sentencing the defendant as a juvenile, or as an adult, or blending a juvenile and an adult sentence.

On the evening of July 6, 2019, a graduation party was held at a Knights of Columbus Hall located in the 24900 block of Brest in Taylor. At approximately 10:54 p.m. on the same night, a large fight broke out. It is alleged that a Delgado stabbed two young men and fatally stabbed Mr. Petty. Mr. Petty was pronounced deceased at a local hospital. The two other victims were taken to a local hospital and treated for their wounds.

Delgado has been charged and adult designated on the following charges: Second Degree Murder and two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder.* He was arraigned at the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility located at 1326 St. Antoine in Detroit Saturday, July 13, 2019 before Referee Sean Kerman. A Preliminary Examination is scheduled for July 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. before Judge Edward Joseph at the Lincoln Hall of Justice. Delgado was remanded.

Detroit Man Charged in Non-Fatal Stabbing
and Sexual Assault of Woman

On June 10, 2019, Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Deangelo Kenneth Martin, 34 (DOB: 05/30/1985), of Detroit, in connection with a sexual assault of a 26-year-old Detroit woman. On May 7, 2019, at 1:40 a.m. at a house on the eastside of Detroit it is alleged that Martin stabbed and sexually assaulted the victim.

Martin was charged with one count of Assault with Intent to Murder, and four counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree.* Today in 36th District Court Martin had his preliminary examination and was bound over as charged. His arraignment in Third Circuit Court is scheduled for July 23, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.

Martin is a person of interest in two homicide warrant requests that were recently received by WCPO from the Detroit Police Department. No decision is expected this week and no further information will be distributed because the Detroit Police Department investigation related to Martin as a person of interest is ongoing.

Two Detroit Men Charged with First Degree Murder, Carjacking, Unlawful Imprisonment, and Felony Firearm in Killing of Gay Man


DETROIT - July 13, 2019 - Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy, with the assistance of the Fair Michigan Justice Project (FMJP), has charged Anthony Brock, 28 (DOB: 8/17/1990), and Darnell Wilson, 30 (DOB: 9/30/1988), both of Detroit, with first-degree murder and other crimes in the killing of Diano Johnson, a gay Detroit man. Prosecutors charged Brock and Wilson with one count each of First Degree Murder, Felony Murder, Armed Robbery, Carjacking, Unlawful Imprisonment, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and six counts Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.* Brock was also charged with Arson, for allegedly setting Johnson's car on fire. The defendants are expected to be video arraigned on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at 36th District Court. Van Buren Man Charged with Carjacking at Wyandotte Gas Station

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Hussain Sabir Foxworth, 22 (DOB: 05/05/1997), of Van Buren Township, in connection with a carjacking at a gas station in Wyandotte.

On July 14, 2019 at approximately 4:59 p.m., Wyandotte police officers were dispatched to a gas station located in the 2000 block of Biddle Avenue. Upon arrival, the officers observed two males detaining a man near a vehicle. It is alleged that the defendant came out of the gas station, struck the owner of a vehicle who was getting gas, and attempted to drive off in the truck. The vehicle owner pulled the defendant from out of his vehicle and detained him until the police arrived.

Foxworth has been charged with one count of Carjacking.* He was arraigned this morning at 11:00 a.m. before 27th District Court Judge Elizabeth Disanto. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for July 25, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for August 2, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge Disanto in 27th District Court in Wyandotte. The defendant received a $500,000 cash bond. Please contact the Wyandotte police department for a photo of the defendant.

Detroit Police Officer Charged with Misconduct in Office

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Detroit Police Officer Chancellor Dmitri Searcy, 32, of Detroit, with two charges of Misconduct in Office, in connection with two on duty incidents.

On July 2, 2018, while employed as a Detroit police officer, Defendant Searcy conducted a traffic stop at Woodward Avenue near Congress in downtown Detroit. He pulled over a 21-year-old woman from Sterling Heights, MI. It is alleged that during the traffic stop, the woman was instructed to give her phone number to avoid getting a ticket. After doing so, it is alleged that the victim received unwanted calls and texts from Officer Searcy.

On August 14, 2018, while employed as a Detroit police officer, Defendant Searcy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Woodward Avenue and Jefferson Avenue. It is alleged that he pulled over a 29-year-old woman from Ray, MI. It is alleged that the woman was informed that she would go to jail, have her car impounded, and receive a ticket unless she gave Defendant Searcy her phone number. After doing so, the victim received unwanted calls and texts from him.

Searcy has been charged with two counts of Misconduct in Office, a common law offense carrying a maximum penalty of five years in prison.* He was arraigned this afternoon before 36th District Court Magistrate Laura Echartea. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for July 24, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for July 30, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge Kenyetta Stanford Jones in 36th District Court. The defendant received a $15,000 personal bond.

Two Men Charged in Pier Park Crash

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Dawaun Al McQueen, 23, (DOB: 06/24/1996), of Clinton Township, and Michael Thomas Sims, 29, (DOB: 11/08/1989), of Chesterfield Township, in connection with a car chase with another vehicle that began at Seven Mile Road and Hoover in Detroit and ended in Pier Park in Grosse Pointe Farms. The victims in the case were three Detroit males in their twenties.

On July 13, 2019, at approximately 5:58 a.m., Grosse Pointe Farms Public Safety Officers were dispatched to Pier Park in Grosse Pointe Farms about a vehicle submerged in the water of the park. It is alleged that the defendants were involved in a chase with another car when they crashed into Pier Park. It is further alleged that the actions of the defendants posed a significant threat to victims, witnesses and the public. The defendants were apprehended by the Grosse Pointe Farms police on the day of the incident. The facts and evidence in the case will be presented in court at the Preliminary Examination.

Dawaun McQueen has been charged with the following offenses*:

  1. Assault with intent to murder (three counts)
  2. Assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder (three counts)
  3. Assault with a dangerous weapon (three counts)
  4. Discharge of a firearm from a vehicle causing injury
  5. Discharge of a firearm from a vehicle
  6. Carrying a concealed weapon in a motor vehicle
  7. Possession with intent to deliver less than 50 grams of cocaine
  8. Felon-in-possession of a firearm
  9. Felon-in-possession of ammunition
  10. Fleeing and eluding-3rd degree
  11. Felony firearm-(14 counts)

Michael Sims has been charged with charged with the following offenses*:

  1. Assault with intent to murder (three counts)
  2. Assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder (three counts)
  3. Assault with a dangerous weapon (three counts)
  4. Discharge of a firearm from a vehicle causing injury
  5. Discharge of a firearm from a vehicle
  6. Carrying a concealed weapon in a motor vehicle
  7. Felony Firearm (11 counts)

McQueen and Sims were arraigned on July 17, 2019 before Grosse Pointe Farms Municipal Court Judge Matthew R. Rumora. Both Probable Cause Conferences are scheduled for July 31, 2019 at 8:00 a.m.; the Preliminary Examinations are scheduled for August 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Both hearings are before Judge Matthew Rumora in 32C District Court. McQueen received a $1 million dollar cash bond; Sims received a $500,000 cash/surety bond. Please request photos of the defendants from the Grosse Pointe Farms Police Department.
