Three Charged in Greektown Casino Hotel Homicide

Rodney R. Pritchett, 29 (DOB: 09/21/1989), of Detroit Shawn Wilson, 30 (DOB: 04/02/1987), of Farmington Hills and Carlile Jackson, 30 (DOB:12/11/1986) of Detroit, have been charged by Prosecutor Kym Worthy in connection with the homicide of Shunsaiah Glaze in an elevator of the Greektown Casino Hotel. On December 2, 2017 at approximately 4:06 a.m., it is alleged that Pritchett, Wilson and Jackson engaged in a physical fight with Glaze in a hotel room. Glaze left the room and got on an elevator and Pritchett, Jackson and Wilson followed him. While inside the elevator, Pritchett fired a handgun striking Glaze in the torso. After the shooting, it is alleged that Wilson and Jackson tampered with evidence left in the elevator. The victim was privately transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Investigation by the Detroit Police led to the identification and apprehension of the defendants.

Rodney R. Pritchett Charges*

First Degree Premeditated Murder and Felony Firearm. Pritchett was arraigned and remanded to jail on December 4, 2017. His probable cause conference is on December 14, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. and his preliminary examination is on December 21, 2017, both before Judge Lydia Nance Adams.

Shawn Wilson Charges*Second Degree Murder, Tampering with Evidence and Felony Firearm. Wilson was arraigned and remanded to jail on December 6, 2017. His probable cause conference is on December 14, 2017 at 8:30 and his preliminary examination is on December 21, 2017, both before Judge Lydia Nance Adams.

Carlile Jackson Charges*

Second Degree Murder and Tampering with Evidence. Jackson was arraigned and remanded to jail on December 7, 2017. His probable cause conference is on December 14, 2017 at 8:30 and his preliminary examination is on December 21, 2017, both before Judge Lydia Nance Adams.
