Detroit Man Charged in Three Domestic Violence Incidents
on Princeton Street

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Robert Mario-Louis Williams, 31, (DOB: 02/14/1988), of Detroit, in connection with three separate domestic violence complaints. The defendant and the victim shared a residence at the time of the complaints.

July 12, 2019 at approximately 11:58 p.m.

Detroit police officers responded to an Assault and Battery complaint at a residence in the 16500 block of Princeton Street in Detroit. Upon arrival, the officers located the victim. It is alleged that the defendant struck the victim and threw her down a flight of stairs. The defendant left the scene before the officers arrived. The defendant has been charged with Domestic Violence.*

Williams was arraigned this morning before 36th District Court Magistrate Jeffrey Kleparek. A Pre-Trial has been scheduled for August 30, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Austin Garrett in 36th District Court. The defendant received a $25,000/10% bond.

August 16, 2019, at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Detroit police officers responded to a location in the 16500 block of Princeton Street in Detroit. Upon arrival the officers found the same victim. It is alleged that the defendant choked, struck and threatened the victim. The defendant left the scene before the officers arrived. The defendant has been charged with Domestic Violence.*

Williams was arraigned this morning before 36th District Court Magistrate Jeffrey Kleparek. A Pre-Trial has been scheduled for August 30, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Austin Garrett in 36th District Court. The defendant received a $25,000/10% bond.

August 21, 2019 at approximately 2:30 a.m.

Detroit police officers were dispatched to the location in the 16500 block of Princeton Street. It is alleged that the defendant fired shots at the victim. The victim was not injured and the defendant left the scene as the police officers arrived. Investigation by the Detroit police led to the arrest of the defendant. He has been charged with Felonious Assault, Felony Firearm, Resisting and Obstructing Police and Domestic Violence.*

Williams was arraigned this morning before 36th District Court Magistrate Jeffrey Kleparek. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for September 3, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for September 9, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge Lynise Bryant in 36th District Court. The defendant received a $100,000 cash/surety bond.
