Van Buren Man Charged with Carjacking at Wyandotte Gas Station

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Hussain Sabir Foxworth, 22 (DOB: 05/05/1997), of Van Buren Township, in connection with a carjacking at a gas station in Wyandotte.

On July 14, 2019 at approximately 4:59 p.m., Wyandotte police officers were dispatched to a gas station located in the 2000 block of Biddle Avenue. Upon arrival, the officers observed two males detaining a man near a vehicle. It is alleged that the defendant came out of the gas station, struck the owner of a vehicle who was getting gas, and attempted to drive off in the truck. The vehicle owner pulled the defendant from out of his vehicle and detained him until the police arrived.

Foxworth has been charged with one count of Carjacking.* He was arraigned this morning at 11:00 a.m. before 27th District Court Judge Elizabeth Disanto. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for July 25, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for August 2, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge Disanto in 27th District Court in Wyandotte. The defendant received a $500,000 cash bond. Please contact the Wyandotte police department for a photo of the defendant.
