Treasurer Sabree attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the renovation of the Cortland Community Impact Center in Highland Park. The ceremony and open house was held to celebrate the first phase of the Early Childhood Center renovations. The facility will be used for Highland Park's Head Start early childhood education program. Also in attendance at the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Wayne County Commissioners Alisha Bell, Martha Scott, as well as Highland Park Mayor Hubert Yopps.
