Detroit Free Press- Homeowners at risk of tax foreclosure should attend one of these
The Wayne County Treasurer's Office will be hosting "show cause" hearings on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to give people at risk of tax foreclosure an opportunity to get on payment plans and learn more about opportunities to stave off foreclosure.In November, the Wayne County Treasurer's office sent notices to 42,568 properties at risk of tax foreclosure. Those who received the notices are invited to come to the treasurer's office - the eighth floor of 400 Monroe Street in Detroit - for sessions at 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., where they can learn more about next steps.
