Detroit Man Charged In Fatal Beating
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym L. Worthy has charged Antonio Otis Stone, 44 (DOB: 07/20/1972), of Detroit, in connection with the homicide of Larry Dale Neville, 49, also of Detroit.
It is alleged that on February 26, 2017 at approximately 1:20 p.m., Detroit police were dispatched to the 7300 block of Dexter Avenue. Upon arrival, the officers spoke with EMTs at the scene, and were advised of a deceased victim upstairs in the house. The officers found the lifeless body of Mr. Neville. It is alleged that the victim was fatally beaten by Stone.
Stone has been charged with First Degree Murder*. Stone was arraigned yesterday before Judge Bari Blake Woods. The probable cause conference is scheduled for March 15, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.; the preliminary examination is scheduled for March 22, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. Both hearings are before Judge William C. McConico in 36th District Court.
*The charges are allegations and defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
