Glasco Miles Charged in Detroit Non-Fatal Police Shooting

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Glasco Miles, 24(DOB: 06/29/1995), of Ecorse, in connection with a police shooting that occurred in Detroit. On August 21, 2019 at 1:50 p.m. at Edsel and Omaha Streets in Detroit, DPD officers were investigating Miles in connection with an August 13, 2019 robbery when they observed him riding a bicycle. It is alleged that Miles produced a handgun and fired a shot toward the officers and fled from the location on foot. Miles was located and arrested on the same afternoon at a home in the 2400 block of Electric in Detroit.

He has been charged with: Assault with Intent to Murder, Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm, Felonious Assault, three counts of Felony Firearm, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Resisting and Obstructing the Police. The defendant was arraigned on Friday, August 30, 2019; the Probable Cause Conference occurred on September 6, 2019. The Preliminary Examination is scheduled for September 16, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Kenyetta Stanford Jones.

Glasco Miles Charged in Detroit Armed Robbery

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Glasco Miles, 24(DOB: 06/29/1995), of Ecorse, in connection with an armed robbery of a 25-year-old Redford woman at a business located in the 2610 block of South Schaefer Street in Detroit. On August 13, 2019, at 8:50 p.m., it is alleged that the defendant was riding on a bicycle when he pointed a hand gun at the victim at South Schaefer and Bassett Streets, demanded her personal property, and fled from the scene. Detroit police were dispatched to the scene but the suspect was not apprehended. On August 21, 2019, Miles was arrested. He has been charged with Armed Robbery, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon with Unlawful Intent, and two counts of Felony Firearm. The defendant was arraigned and the Preliminary Examination will be held on September 6, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Kenyetta Stanford Jones.
